Chalet designers to AKB

The company’s designers Atelier Kastelic Buffey (AKB) worked on a project of the chalet in the village of Clearview, Ontario, Canada. A small house in the Swiss style, like the suburban villas, characterized by projecting eaves and wooden walls. Unlike traditional chalet modern buildings, of course, have all the necessary amenities. The main requirement of the customers were also low maintenance home with a small budget. This emphasis on practicality and economy led to a simple black design with a single ornament – snow. Inside the clear sharp contrast – white walls and large windows are designed to repeat the nature of the terrain and to dissolve the interior in white spaces. The modest design presented concrete floors, a fireplace and a selection of minimalist furniture.
